Christmas Tree Lot PDF Print E-mail

It is that time again!  We need your help with the Boy Scout Tree Lot.  Each boy and parent(s) are required to volunteer at the lot.  This year we are going to try this sign up system so you can volunteer for times that suit your schedule best.  The numbers don't work out perfectly, so i may need to make adjustments. SET UP IS NOV/20. Please sign up for 2 shifts (we do not need all parents to do 2 but we need most of the boys to do 2).  If you do not sign up by Nov 7, i will make assignments.  I will send a follow up email with all the details.  It works best if we have at least 2 or 3 older, stronger boys on each shift (especially busy weekends).  To sign up, visit www.SignUpGenius.com/go/christmas1161

Wine Auction Saturday Nov 5 PDF Print E-mail

Piedmont Wine Auction   Saturday, November 5, 2011
The Piedmont Council Boy Scouts of America is hosting its first ever wine auction on November 5th, 2011, with the goal of raising over $50,000 in support of the boys and girls involved in the Scouting & Venturing programs. Even though we are one of the smallest Councils in America, Piedmont Scouting is a very active organization. Participation in the various Scouting programs is consistently over 50%, and achievement of Eagle Scout rank is more than twice the national average. We excel in developing youth and giving to communities that need our help, including donating nearly 10,000 hours of community service, and collecting more than 8,000 pounds of food and $3,700 in funds for disadvantaged families in Alameda County. The Supporting Youth Fundraiser will take place 6:30pm on November 5th, at Guild Hall in downtown Piedmont. We will be pouring high quality wines that will be paired with a wide assortment of catered hors d'oeuvres. There will be both a silent auction of wine and related items as well as a live auction of premium items, including collectible wines and wine experiences. Visit http://piedmontwineauction.org to find out more.
